Whether you have an hour to spare or a specific professional skill to share, there is a place for you in the Music Boosters. From logistics and equipment moving to hospitality and event planning, every volunteer plays a vital role in creating a world-class experience for our student musicians. Join us in fostering a supportive environment where our students can thrive both on and off the stage!

Student Support

Hands-On Logistics

What it is:

Being right where the action is! Work directly with students to ensure they are safe, fed, and have their gear.

Volunteer Opportunities include:

  • Competition Chaperones

  • Football Game Chaperones

  • Food Crew

  • Equipment Crew

Parents who want to be around the students, love high-energy environments, and enjoy being on the move.​

Big Events

Event Crew & Creators

​What it is:

Helping plan and execute the massive, exciting events our band hosts for the community and our students.

​

Volunteer Opportunities Include:

  • The Great Lakes Invitational (GLI) Competition

  • MCBA States Competition

  • School Concerts

  • End-of-the-Season Banquets

Best for:

Parents who love organizing logistics, helping run parties, and celebrating student achievements.

Fundraising

Short-Term Helpers

What it is:

Helping to plan, prep, and run our fun, high-impact fundraisers, from coordinating sales to working event days.

Volunteer Opportunities Include: 

  • Organizing flower or food sales

  • Staffing raffle tables and donation booths

  • Prepping materials and taking shifts at fundraising events

 

Best for:

Parents who want to help out for just one weekend, a single afternoon, or a couple of hours.

Big Business & Sponsors

The Networkers

What it is: Helping the band grow by connecting with local businesses and managing long-term community programs.

 

Jobs include: Working on the CADENCE Sponsorship program, the annual Craft Show, or managing reward programs like RaiseRight and Kroger Rewards.

 

Best for: Parents who work in business, sales, marketing, or enjoy talking to local business owners.

Behind-the Scenes Admin

Home Team

What it is: Keeping the official band booster organization running smoothly and legally without needing to be at every game.

 

Jobs include: Helping with the Internal Audit team (checking the bank math), updating bylaws, or purchasing band supplies.

 

Best for: Parents who want to contribute on their computer from the comfort of home.

Marketing & Media

Storytellers

What it is: Being the "eyes and ears" of the band! Help to capture and share all the hard work our students put into performances so the community can celebrate them!

 

Jobs include: Taking pictures or quick videos at events, social media creation, helping with the website, and writing short updates.

 

Best for: Parents who enjoy photography, social media, writing or detailed execution.
