The PCMB equipment crew is an integral part of the marching band program.  The crew is made up of dedicated parents whose mission is to ensure the kids have a great experience and enable them to give their best possible performance.  No special skills or abilities are necessary to be a crew member and both men and women are welcome. 

Crew responsibilities include: 

  • Transporting the band’s instruments, pit equipment, props and other gear
  • Building and maintaining props used for the show
  • Maintaining mechanical equipment such as tractors, generators, carts, etc.
  • Assisting the band with moving equipment and props on and off the field for performances
  • Helping with other miscellaneous tasks


Crew loading the truck as the kids get ready to head out for competitionCrew loading the truck as the kids get ready to head out for competitionOne of the exciting aspects of being a crew member is the opportunity to travel with the band and get a great behind-the-scenes look at how the production takes shape throughout the season.  The crew also gets a unique perspective by being at field level with the kids and sharing the energy that they bring to every performance. 
Crew assistance is needed for all performances including regional and national competitions and usually for most football games that the band performs at.  There are also additional crew volunteer opportunities throughout the season to assist the staff as the production takes shape.  Feel free to approach any crew member with any questions or inquiries you may have.
