Band, Guard, Parents, and Students.
The Plymouth Canton Marching Band will be holding information meetings for current high school and eighth grade students and their parents interested in joining the Plymouth Canton Marching Band.
Meetings will be held: Tuesday February 15; Wednesday March 16; Tuesday April 5 and Tuesday May 17. All meetings will be held in the large band room located in Plymouth High School and begin at 7:00 pm.
Students will have the opportunity to hear about the program first hand from students, both past and present, involved with the band. They will have a chance to ask questions, view past performances, and learn what being a member (the committment, the work, the fun and the memories) is all about. Pizza and snacks will be available for the students.
While the students are talking with band members, parents will learn about the program from a parent's perspective. Students and alumni will relate their marching band experiences' impact on their high school years. Parents of students past and present will relate how this program assisted their children throughout high school and to grow and mature. Parents will also be informed on a variety of aspects that make up a marching band season, some being: Great Lakes Invitational, participation fee, fundraising, competitions, and Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade.
