Dear New Marching Band Parents,

Welcome to the Plymouth-Canton Educational Park Marching Band and the Plymouth- Canton Music Booster organization. Both you and your child are in for a very exciting year! This is a fantastic program!

The transition from middle school to high school is exciting and challenging. Participation in the P-CEP instrumental music programs can add to that excitement and challenge. The New Member Representative position was created to serve as a support system for you as you move through your first year.

I can help you with answers to your questions, and if I don’t know the answer, I will assist you in finding the right person that does. I am here to help. I have a son who is a sophomore and plays the Baritone.

The people in the organization are wonderful! Please plan to attend our booster meetings and become an active member of our organization. You won’t regret the commitment that you and your child make. Visit this site regularly for current, up to date information concerning the band. It takes a lot of parental involvement to do all that needs to be done to keep our program moving.

In addition to the above, please also plan to:

  1. Create an account on this Web site to gain access to some inside information about the boosters and the instrumental programs.
  2. Sign up for fanouts. You can do this during the site registration process or you can choose the Fanout link under the Boosters menu.
  3. Start fundraising for your band fees by purchasing Scrip. The Scrip table is open most Tuesdays from 6:00 – 7:00 p.m. It is usually in the hallway outside the band room. The location is usually posted in fanouts (yet another reason to sign up for fanouts)!

Once again, welcome to the marching band family. We’re here to help you make a smooth transition. Please email with any questions or concerns. I wish you the very best in your first year with PCMB!

Best regards,

Sarah Rutman
