tigers logoGreat news – PCMBoosters are “officially” part of the Tigers Volunteer Fundraising program. Here’s an update of status & direction moving forward that will be discussed & developed at the May Booster meeting & initiated as a PCMB Fundraising Committee over the next week:

  • We have 25 PCMBooster family responses identifying over 45 individuals as volunteering through the “survey monkey”. We have enough solid coverage to establish three separate groups for each of the preferred game schedules – (1) Sunday day games 18 volunteers, (2) Monday – Thursday night games 15 volunteers, & (3) Friday & Saturday night games 12 volunteers. Unfortunately our survey monkey only allowed one selection for preferred schedule – so we would have better range of coverage if we further open second choices for participation. We are accepting of additional volunteers over the next couple months as availability & interest sparks up.
  • We have had our volunteers already started attending training session for volunteers on 4/5 & 4/19. Please sign-up for one of the upcoming training dates found at http://www.signupgenius.com/go/30e0845a9a62da7f94-comerica1 . FYI – upcoming dates include Monday 5/8, Tuesday 5/23, Monday 6/5 & Monday 6/19. As soon as we have the necessary amount of volunteers through training we will schedule our games.
  • Note that it is mandatory for all volunteers to attend the training session before you become eligible to participate. The training covers general aspects for manning the concession stand. Please further note that we need specially trained leaders to be responsible for “cash” & “inventory” required at each game. Therefore we are encouraging PCMBooster reps to volunteer to step into a slightly different training path for either “cash” or “inventory” while at the training session. The ratio of volunteers is (8 volunteers for a small stand -12 volunteers for a larger concession) w/ 1 “cash” & 1 “inventory” lead per event. It would be great to have a “cash” & “inventory” volunteer from each of our game schedule preferences.
  • We have a volunteer “chair” identified & encourage a couple more volunteers step up to assist in scheduling our PCMBooster committee.
  • Our goal is to cover 10-15 games as currently planned. If all goes well – we can always increase our participation & increase sign-up as the season progresses. Yes – we can also volunteer for the concert events as they are announced during the season.
